Incremental Encoder Interface

Product Description

The KL5101 terminal is an interface for the direct connection of incremental encoders with
differential inputs (RS 485) or single inputs. A 16-bit counter with quadrature decoder
and a 16-bit latch for the zero pulse can be read, set or activated. The KL5101 inputs can
optionally be used as complemntary or single inputs. Incremental encoder with a fault
alarm output can be connected to status input of this interface. A period measurement with
a resolution of 200 ns is possible. The G2 input allows blocking of the counter (High =
Stop), and via G1 it is possible to latch in to the upward slope.
